Delete your data
What we store
Connecting Facebook to Anchovy allows you to post directly to your Facebook Page. To make that work, we store the following — locally in your device's iOS Keychain only:
- Your Facebook display name
- Your Facebook User ID
- An access token (used to post on your behalf)
- Your selected Facebook Page ID and Page name (if applicable)
We do not send this data to Anchovy servers. It lives on your device and is used only to authenticate your requests to Facebook's API.
Delete from within the app
The fastest way to remove your Facebook data is directly inside Anchovy:
- Open Anchovy and tap the Social Studio tab
- Tap the accounts icon in the top-right corner
- Find Facebook and tap Disconnect
- All Facebook data is removed from your device immediately
Deleting the Anchovy app from your iPhone also removes all locally stored data, including any Facebook tokens, with no additional steps required.
Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by emailing support@anchovyapp.com with the subject line "Facebook data deletion request." Include the email address associated with your Facebook account and we'll confirm deletion within 30 days.
Because all Facebook data is stored on-device rather than on our servers, there is nothing on our end to erase beyond revoking any stored references — which the disconnect action above handles completely.
